PROSPECTS F.A.Q
The emails, calls, texts, etc., to our office and cell phones from parents, players, coaches and scouts can sometimes be overwhelming…As much as we would like to speak to everyone on a personal basis, this at times isn’t possible. In order to help you along the way, here are some FAQ with answers. If the info below doesn’t answer what you are looking for, feel free to contact us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Question: Is anyone allowed to play in Prospects Hockey Tournaments?
Answer: While anyone is free to inquire, Prospects is not a ‘first come first serve event’. We take great pride in attracting the best players available and will continue with our due diligence to try and ensure that.
Question: How does one go about putting a team into a Prospects Hockey Tournament?
Answer: As mentioned above, because Prospects is NOT a first come first serve event, your first step would be to inquire and be prepared at that time to give some names of players who we can follow-up with to make sure the quality of your team meets the standard that Prospects is best known for. If and when you are accepted, the guidelines for…registering, payment, rosters, insurance and waiver forms must be met at the required times in order for your team to be part of the tournament.
Question: What travel arrangements should be considered for the potential of an early game on the Friday and a Final game on the Sunday?
Answer: Every team will play 2 games on Friday and 2 games on Saturday. Play downs for "x" number of teams will start by 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, and ALL Finals will be completed by 4:30 p.m. Every team should arrange to be in on Thursday night. Toronto Pearson International Airport, All Hotels and Restaurants are within 10 minutes of the Powerade Centre.
Question: When are schedules posted for the Prospects Events?
Answer: Schedules will be posted 7-10 days prior to each event. Players having to stay overnight for any Prospects event regardless of the schedule should always plan on arriving the day before (Thursday) the start of the event.
*SCHEDULES MAY CHANGE AT THE LAST MINUTE FOR REASONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL…WE WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO SEE THAT ANY CHANGES MADE WILL AFFECT THE least AMOUNT OF TEAMS!
Question: When are rosters posted on Prospects Website?
Answer: With FULL cooperation from each of the teams and their contact, We hope to have the Rosters on our Website the Sunday before each event…The printing of Programs, etc, for each event is done on the Monday afternoon, a few days prior to the event.
